Favorite Albums from 2010?

Just got Atmosphere's - To All My Friends, Blood Makes The Blade Holy.

Even after 1 play I gotta put it in the list. To me Slug is a lyrical genius

I'm notoriously behind the times. I usually find stuff on average about 10 years after it's been out, if not more, so this thread will likely be a goldmine for me. That said, this is a little more mainstream than what's been mentioned but an excellent effort....

Although he never lived to see its official release (due to a dispute between Dangermouse & EMI), Mark Linkous was alive when the album was posted online at NPR in late 2009 (with the simultaneous release of the companion book--photos by David Lynch). The CD/LP was finally released in 2010.

A few 2010 releases that I liked.

Black Prairie ~ Feast Of The Hunters' Moon

Los Lobos ~ Tin Can Trust

Anat Chohen ~ Clarinetwork - Live At The Village Vanguard

Alejandro Escovedo ~ Street Songs Of Love

In 2010 I found myself going backwards to 60s jazz. A couple new albums I picked up:

Sade - Soldier of Love

Jamey Johnson-Guitar Song

The Protomen have been rocking in my home and car. It has a ton of political/social commentary as related to the comic it takes the dark side of. In addition to that I really like the creativeness of the album and the strides in recording that they took.

I picked 3 distinctly different songs to show their variety.

The Protomen - Hope Rides Alone

The Protomen - Unrest in the House of Light
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VspS8m2yatQ

The Protomen - Act II: The Hounds
