Fedex Stuck in transit

I bought a tape deck last Sunday. It seemed to be moving along as expected. It was scheduled for Friday. I even took the day off from work so I would be there when it arrived. Now the status is pending. There's been no updates since the 3rd.

I have no idea if it's just sitting in Essex or the journey, it's taking is just slow. It's traveling from California to Wisconsin. I know with the Covid scare going on right now, things can be slow. I'm just a little stressed because this item wasn't cheap.

This is the tracking information from Fedex, it hasn't changed since the 3rd. So, what do you people think? Do you think it's still in Essex or it's just on a slow journey?

it doesn't appear to be lost yet. Probably sitting on a truck somewhere. Shipping is slow these days...cold weather, covid, more online purchases than ever.
Hopefully they don't hand it off to the post office for the last trip...because then you're tracking number is useless.

FedEx hasn't been doing so well for me lately either. Packages don't get scanned for days, the ETA changes to "Pending", they go 500 miles in the wrong direction, but eventually they make it (so far...).

I just had a box get scanned in OH the day it was supposed to be delivered (in MA), then a couple days later it got a scan in Indiana, now it's "No scheduled delivery date available at this time." :dunno:
 
I ordered something from California that was being shipped by FedEx to Pennsylvania. The status sat in “pending” for a full week. The package then got moving and arrived in another week. Something strange is going on with FedEx. I wouldn’t panic.

I suspect they are consolidating shipments to ensure vehicles or planes are at full capacity to maximize revenue per dispatch.

3 day priority (USPS) supposed to be delivered Friday the 12th, still stuck in traffic.
 
I've got a pair of RSL CG5's coming......FredEx..
Went from delivered this Monday to Pending.
Website has shown "in transit" from Essex,CA....for a week.
 
My FedUp delivery has been sitting at the local facility for the last 4 days. Does anybody know how to get a human being on the phone?

I got a notice that something I bought shipped from New York. Just a little later, using the tracking number verified by the shipper, it shows it was delivered. To a different state than I live in. And another package with the same tracking number shipped from CA. Fedex guy first said my package was delivered to me - just a couple of hours from New York to rural Texas. I told him that wasn't right, what about NC? Oh, his bad, my package is actually in Ft Worth, but he can't give me a tracking number.

So I have no idea what's going on.
 
Ordered a small Bodine motor from the Dubuque area last Wednesday. Overnight FEDEX .. Got it delivered today .. Dubuque is about 3.5 hours down the road from Fort Dodge.
I had a labeler down for that motor and needed to be ready to run Monday morning at 6 AM... When it didn't show up Thursday. We sent a guy over to Dubuque on Friday to physically pick up another motor. Thank god they had another one. Saturday morning( OT cha-ching ) I went in and installed the motor so the labeler was ready to rock and roll Monday morning.

I ordered a new computer and was disappointed that it was FedEx that was the chosen carrier as we don't have FedEx here where I live. In the past, they have gotten it close and then mail it the final leg to my post office.

So ordered Feb 8, it made it to the first stop, somewhere in MS where it languished with an "unreadable bar code" which was "replaced". Earlier this week I tried to call HP and tell them the story but every time I ended up in endless loop phone menus where it simply wasn't possible to talk to anyone. So I then called FedEx, and immediately got someone on the phone! She couldn't help me as all the info she could see on her end was what I already knew. She did say to give it another 10 business day and then contact HP for a refund.

Then out of the blue yesterday I got a notice that it showed up in Anchorage and will be here sometime today (it won't but the sentiment was nice anyhow). All their delivery time indicates is that it may or may not be at a post-office near me (but not MY post office) and then they call it "delivered" and I'm left to fend for myself with the po and without tracking numbers they can't help. What a mess, I'm mentally preparing myself for possibly no computer, and money gone. I expect that from some used thing on ebay, but not new purchase from a large company like HP!
 
Nobody likes to hear it when it's their stuff, me included.

But, considering the average daily FedEx volume of 10 million, or whatever, plus the big COVID volume spike from more online shopping, and the personnel issues with illness and precautions, I'm fairly amazed it all still works as well as it does.

Oh, yeah, when it's my stuff don't like it any more than anyone else but try to keep the perspective.
 
It's been a tough couple of weeks for these companies!

I've had a package with the USPS that got stuck in PA for over a week, and now is in Chicago and was on the truck for delivery 2 days ago, but didn't get delivered and is now probably still stuck on the truck!
 
I ordered some pots from Mouser 2/17 and selected Fedex as the shipper. The email indicated there were shipping problems and it should be shipped by 2/24. I also see that mouser upgraded my service to Priority Overnight AND refunded the shipping I paid. My tracking shows the label was printed and yesterday said it would be delivered by 12:00PM 2/24. Today it is "Pending" and shows a 2/23 "Local scan" at 2:54PM.
Hopefully they will show up soon, but my invoice does show a Texas address for Mouser, so that could be affecting shipment.

KUDOS though to Mouser for the shipping comp and upgrade; that's a class move!
