First time Mac owner

Hello. I just picked up a MAC 4100 this weekend and I already have it in the shop for some issues. The fm picks up and locks onto the siginal but there is barely any sound, also the right power guard light is on after you have the unit on for about 5 mins but its not bright. Have any of you run across this? I knew about the fm problem but not the PG problem and it kind of scares me. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Just have a qualified tech go completely through the 4100. Everything is pretty much repairable on these.

IIRC from the Introductions area, you are in Wisconsin, which isn't too far from either Terry DeWick or Audio Classics to consider shipping your 4100 for service.
