Fisher 400/500/800 LED type Replacement Dial Lamps

The Fisher receivers require a high brightness LED assembly due to the lower 6.3 volts vs other receivers. Using two bright white and two warm white LEDs in each lamp assembly wired in series-parallel and set up for 20ma current draw produces enough brightness. The color of the two LEDs also helps illuminate the different colors of print on the dial.

The LED replacement lamps are available from qua-co on ebay.

I prefer the evenness of light distribution from the LED festoon replacements compared to the incandescents for the fuse shaped side illuminators in receivers and tuners.
