Fisher 400 Date by serial #

I thought I saw a thread one time stating the date of manufacture by the serial number.

Does anyone know where I can find this?

I just purchased one with serial number 34129S.

I would also like to have the manual.

I have a manual fisher 400 from 10001 to 19999 serial #.

I am not sure how much difference there is in the parts and schematics.

Thanks in Advance!

Best way to date it is to look for the EIA code's on the transformers, and add 2-3 months. The 400 came out in Sept '63 for the '64 model year. 34xxx series is either a late 64 or an early '65. Model years go from Sept to AUG. Figure a few months ahead of start of model year for initial production and to get to stores. And that's what I'm sticking to.

EIA code is a 6 or 7 digit number below the transformer #.
Post all 3 transformer #'s and EIA Codes. And we can approximate when it was assembled.

Service manual closest to your Serial is the 20001-29999 series Service Manual. Use that.
