Fisher Gotham IV

I have had a Fisher Stereo tube receiver since 1965. It still works and I am thinking of bringing it out of mothballs. It is in excellent condition. The problem is it appears to be rare. I see a lot of similar Fisher receivers for sale on eBay, et. al. sites. This closely resembles the Fisher 400 and 500C. Has anyone ever heard of this model: Gotham IV?

Look at the thread posted below, esp. post #4. It says: “Another unusual one-year-only offering from Fisher in 1966 was the tiny Gotham. Available as the Gotham IV with a Fisher 400 or the Gotham VIII with an 800-C, it housed only the receiver and turntable - requiring optional speakers. Apparently quite rare as a result of being raided for their valuable receivers or possibly because of low production numbers; I have yet to hear even rumors of the existence of surviving examples of this model.”

I think the “named” Fishers used regular Fisher chassis in them. That’s a good thing. Having to provide your own speakers is good too, you can pick what suits your tastes the best.
