Five Best Movies of All Time?

Oops. Got caught up in the heat of the moment and forget to count to 5.

Hmmm...2 more. Jaws 2 and Jaws 3 are certainly don't cut it, nor does Godfather III. Raiders of the Lost Ark is certainly a memorable film and, for a comedy, Airplane or Spinal Tap.

Darn...I still can't count to 5.

Might I humbly suggest you try a double-blind test. You seem rather fond of them and this seems like the most appropriate place, as you do not seem to trust your ears (or want any of the rest of to trust ours, either). :D

Everyone on AK is entitled to their opinions. Even if you do not agree, be respectful of others opinions.

Annie Hall

Young Frankenstein

My Dinner with Andre

Casablanca

The Graduate

 Did I miss something here?

And now for a different set of movies

Other genre (Asian martial arts/philsophy):

A Hero Never Dies (male bonding, great plot, spectacular music - 2 themes)
Hero (great color sequences, good choreography, only Jet Li movie
I can watch more than once)
Warriors of Heaven and Earth (devotion/duty, spectacular scenery)
Last Samurai (ninja attack scene is great, Cruise fighting sword
master to a standstill is Ok, no Tom Cruise million-dollar grin!
hokey: Cruise only survivor at the end)
Dragon Inn (remake) Brigitte Lin (to die for) and Maggie Cheung
wrestling/fight scene is amazing.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (opening chase scene - drum music
is amazing to see and hear)

How's that for different?

Otherwise:

Dr Zhivago (music and scenery - balalaika version only on movie soundtrack)
Live and Die in LA (car chase)
Ronin (Car chases - imagine not knowing the origin of Ronin)
The Peacemaker (car chase)
Goldeneye (the legs of Famke Jansen!!!)

cant put them in order but heres my fav 5 films

terminator 2
aliens
the rock
goodfellas
forest gump

LOTR triligy is the best triligy ever.
