First of all I prefer bass reflex to sealed. These are sealed. 96, or 92db depending on where you read. I thought i was done with two ways, the top tier in my stable consists of coaxial or triaxial depending on the genre. This is my first time with Peerless tweeters and they are very nice indeed. More pictures coming soon of the insides and crossover. The tone of these is really sweet. I've read where if a speaker lacks the semi-extreme end of the frequency spectrum, your brain fills in the rest. Well these nail that home in a new way. I also really like a tight bass, seeming to create a "ball" in the imaging. These do that really well.

I remember reading somewhere years ago that the woofer in the FMI-80 was made by a company called Rolo or Rola, something like that. I had not heard of it before nor have I since. The tweeters were made by Peerless.
