Futterman NCP-II Preamp Service Info?

I am working on a New York Audio Laboratories NCP-II preamp. Someone modified it bridging the phono inputs together and cutting the wires off the phono A/B switch. Why?

Anyone have any service info or schematic or know a Futterman expert? I would like to bring it back to original operation if possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
