Games are what first brought me to the P.C. (back in 1992) They have come a long way in 16 years....but so has the hardware. My first PC was a packard bell 80286 running @ 16mhz (in turbo mode) with a meg of ram, a 40mbhard drive and an 8-bit video card. Now it's a home built P4 3.2ghz, 2 gigs of ram, 3 internal 80gig/1 external 80gig HD's , and an Invidia 6800GT vid card.....and water-cooled to boot (hate all that fan noise). Games like Far Cry, Call of Duty, F.E.A.R, and Doom 3 are just incredible experiences. But every couple of years the developers up the ante and it seems you need to upgrade...usually your video hardware which can become spendy.

I usally don't pay too much attention to the music. will even turn it off if it gives me an option. I'm just too busy killin' to hear it :thmbsp:

I used to be a hardcore gamer and still enjoy watching the episodes from www.purepwnage.com . However, I came to a realization that there are better ways to spend my time than video games. Also, my friends won't play with me any more because I always win.

I like the music but is this game like an old school shooter similar to Rtype or Einhander?

I'm somewhat of a gamer, I enjoy Flight Simulator 2004, and Combat Flight Simulator 3. Anyone around here play the CFS3? I could host a multiplayer for AK members.... I'm thinking of buliding a new gaming machine around Christmas. My current one ain't too shabby, but most of it is approaching 2 years old. Specs:

AMD Athlon64 3400+ OC'ed, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HD, GeForce 6800xt 256 mb AGP, DVD-ROM, DVD-RW, TV tuner, SB Live!, high end power supply, heatsinks, fans, UV lights, glowy cables, etc...

I do a little gaming. Mostly FPS... the Unreal Tournament series, Quake, Battlefield 1942. Played some Midnight Club 2 and Need for Speed Underground. I haven't picked up anything new since Half Life 2 or Doom3.

I used to game some, but the best games (1st person shooters) end up giving me motion sickness. I have enjoyed some flight sims and strategy(love the Close Combat Series). I have played the demo of Battlefield 2 and the online experience is pretty amazing,
I have a pretty good machine AMD 64 3200+, 1gig ram, 160gb sata HD , ATI X800XL video card and the DELL 24" lcd monitor. I would kind of like to build a new computer soon, but this darn vintage audio habit is taking up all my spare funds.
