Got my latest issue of The DanDom Digest today, and followed a link to this:
The late Roger Nichols (Steely Dan engineer and all-around electrowiz) had a bunch of gear. It's up for auction with around 8 days to go. Mostly pro stuff, with a smattering of consumer gear. I'm thinking of making a bid on some small item just to have something of Roger's .

The little square driver Sony personal monitors are cool.

The Yamaha digital EQ is very cool.

The Kenwood audio-lab scope is very very cool, and probably just as rare as it is cool.

there is something i don't like about the ebay stuff ..not sure what but i don't like it for some reason . it all seems a bit wrong to me , maybe its just my frame of mind at the moment .

I think it is!

I have that same Production Devices Model 151 Sweep Generator. I use it for sweeping tape decks. It's a very handy device.

If that's the case...that is incredible. That 3M recorder is, IIRC, essentially a hand-built "proof of concept" unit that had 3M engineers constantly hovering over it during the recording sessions. Would be major cool to own, for sure.

I'm thinking that M&K speaker system would have halfway decent sound as well:)
Roger was a ham operator, too. Wonder about the ham gear....:scratch2:
