Great score on Paradigm Monitor 9

I just grabbed a pair of Paradigm Monitor 9 speakers in fantastic condition. The seller had the pair priced at a great deal, $475. He suggested I make an offer after I listened and examined. I thought, what the hell and offered $340. He took it! Amazing speakers, in my opinion well worth his asking price of $475. I guess he assumed I was not interested since I had not quickly accepted his price. I hooked them to my SX-950. They play as they should and look fantastic with just a couple very slight surface marks on the 'black ash' cabinets.
He has a pair of Mini Monitors he offered at $225. I may meander back Monday and try to snag those at $175 or so. I have 2 pair of Paradigm Focus speakers, and have owned the Titians in the past.
BTW, he showed me his receipt showing these were purchased by him, locally.

I have a pair of the Monitor 3 and mini Monitors in a HT setup I personally wouldn't pay more than $80-90 for the mini monitors. They may have a book value more than that but to me not an ear value more.

Someone here locally was selling a pair of the monitor 9's as well and based on my experience with the 3's you got quite a set of speakers

What version of the monitor 9's did you get? I had the first series, the monitor 9se's, I'm guessing you got something newer for $340?
