Grundig Hifi-Box

Grundig and Braun use to stick labels behind their tweeters and mediums, can you check that ?
Maybe it's Telefunken speakers...

I came across this speaker, and could not pass it up. I, have no intention of selling it, because it is such a great find, but does anyone know its worth, or how to find it? I, am just curious, and it does work! It is exactly, the same as the pic shows without the radio.






I power them using a small amp that is feed from my Telefunken Musiktruhe Salzburg III U, I think the amp is only <5 watts, but it does a good job.

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me.
I have just picked up a pair of Grundig LS741's hifi box from the recycling center for £10 and found your post when googling for some info. I was wondering if you could tell me what caps I would need to replace on the crossovers and what are some good ones to get. Is it a easy job any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have a pair of Grundig Hifi-Box 2500 speakers, and they sound very excellent. I listen to a lot of Reggae music, so I appreciate their extended bass response. The ability of a speaker to reproduce bass is very important to me. I'm thinking of buying a pair of Grundig HiFi-Box 707 Audioprisma speakers. How does the bass response of the Audioprisma compare to the 2500's? Also, do the Grundig Hifi-Box 2500a Professional speakers sound different or better than the Grundig Hifi-Box 2500 speakers, which I have right now?

Hello,

If you want more bass, don't buy Box 707 because they aren't better than 2500 for these frequencies. If I had to chose speakers for reggae I would buy B&W DM2 MKII or JBL L26 :)

Another question. As sometimes the cabinets are found in a very bad shape (some models are even 50 years old ) can the drivers and x-overs be cannibalized, put in another cabinet hoping to get similar performance ?:rolleyes: i mean how much of the performance depends on the cabinet construction ? :dunno:

I never heard v7200. I have v7500 and I like it very much. I would like to know about the differences between both...

It is a long time ago that I was here for a while...
But nothing changed, Grundig is always alive.
There is a pair of Grundig box 300 in perfect condition on ebay Germany.
Price is high... at 450 Euro, but someone bit now 380 Euro.
The guy is from USA....

The tweeter from 506 has a different sound. You can not take this one...
Only Box 400 has the same tweeter.
But if you need one, I can help you!

Please apologise me, Vintagear, I forgot to quote. Thank you anyway :) I was asking danny846ayzt about help because I have a pair of Grundig Hifi Box 500 and one of the tweeters is burnt. I bought it relatively cheap on ebay and it was supposed to be fully working but it wasn't. One of the front cover panels it's a little bit damage too but I can live with that. I'm trying to find out where can I find a similar tweeter for replacement and wich speakers use the same tweeters: 19045 002 01
