Hello everyone.

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tony... and I have a problem. I love loud music and I cannot lie.

I am coming up on 40 and have always been around great sound systems as my uncle was/is a huge audio guy as well. He picked up a brand new set of 4 klipsch kg 5.5's for his living room. Powered them with an akai receiver, I think, and we loved to JAM to some dire straights, zz top and boston.

He still has them to this day, never had to touch them other than replace the old receiver after it died a few years ago.
I saw them still setup in his living room this year at x-mas and asked if we could hear a little music from them... THEY STILL ROCK! And hit you harder in the chest than anything i have ever felt from anything else.

That brings me to today, have an appointment to pick up a pair of kg 5.5's for myself. They will replace the pair of yamaha NS-A836'S I know they arent exactly high end but they have been treating me well for about 25yrs.

I will let you all know how they sound when they get home and setup.

And i have been lurking for about a eeek now reading up on them, just want to say thank you for the info! You are all a wealth of knowledge i have only just begun to tap.20181225_194355.jpg klipsch KG 5.5

Well i did pick up my sequentially numbered kg 5.5's today. Also wheeled and dealed a matching sw10-ii powered sub, all for $450. Now to get it all hooked up and tuned in. Hopefully my sony str-de845 has enough power to get them to sing.
Otherwise the new av reciever (strdn1080) I have been eye balling will have to come home too.
Ill start a new thread out of the intro section on that.
