Hello!
while the snow gives me a break from outdoor work, I decided to joint the forum, where I learned a lot over the years and hope to continue to learn and possibly contribute. I am not an electrical engineer, but get most things that interest me to work with the help of forums like this.
My main interest lies in items with new (at time of introduction) and interesting technology, trying to understand how/why ... or I enjoy the beauty of a pleasing design - including early AM radios, recorders and receivers and test equipment from the 1930s through the 1970s. My collection is a random sampling of items from fleamarkets in the Northeast (1990 through 2015). The late 50s/ early 60s are my favorite era - hmm this may reveal my age, retired and just finished the last home renovation (maybe...) I hope to find more time to enjoy/share items in the collection.
As far as music goes, I listen to Jazz from the 80s and avantgarde, some old music as well, but a pretty narrow spectrum. I like to 'feel' music, so I drive amble power to a pair of home made speakers with Cabasse/Focal drivers: definitely not high end, but an experience!
cheers, Wolf
