I'm an Army retired Veteran of various campaigns, living in Caguas, PR. I grew up in the 70's and 80's, my parents loved music, and had a great taste on the sound system. They had a Pioneer integrated amplifier (Don't remember the model number), with the Pioneer cs88's speakers. Every Friday there was a trip to a record store on the nearest shopping mall to get the latest Disco hits. In the 80's I had age to have my own system, I got a NAD 3020 with Baby Advents speakers and a SL1200 MKII turntable. I worked 2 years in a row doing patios of the neighbors, and washing cars. In 88 I joined the Army, took my system with me, but because I was moving a lot, and not a lot of space at the barracks, I had to sell it. Around 2 weeks ago, the audiophile bug bitted me, and I got a Yamaha RX-V481 with Klipsch R-14m bookshelf monitors, and a Klipsch R-10sw sub, for now I'm streaming, but with plans of getting a turntable, I still have a collection of vinyls of more than a 1,000 records, from the 70's and the 80's!

Hey Sarge, Army veteran also here, a "grunt" from the Vietnam era with the 101st. Welcome to AK. I live in Guaynabo. Maybe one day we can get together and check our gear and music. I have about 1200-1300 LPs and about 80 45s, many, many from the 60s and 70s. I have 7 systems at home, all connected and working, the "newest" one is about 15 years old, the oldest about 35.
