Help! My amp is sick (KA-7100)

I love my KA-7100 but recently it gives me reason to worry: There is cracking and distortion on the right channel on both speakers. I tried different speakers on both A & B with the same results, so it appears to be definitely the amp.

Anyone an idea what causes this?

I have not opened it yet and I am somewhat capable with a soldering iron.

It just may need a good cleaning like hp.... said ...

Yes, that thread is the one to use as a guide to show you how to clean your controls of the amp.

The KA-7100 is a great amp! I have its big brother the KA-9100.
