Hercules 2 power supply for Linn LP12 Valhala. Any experience or recommendations?

Have a Linn LP12 Valhala with 21mm pulley.

(Putting off upgrading tonearm for now.)

Considering upgrading the Valhala power supply.
A Stamford Hercules 2 power supply upgrade is available in a two forms. Internally mounted PS for about $340 shipped. Or external Mose Hercules 2 PS in its own case, for about double cost of internal mounted version. Around $700. So no small differance in price!

I don't currently have any 45 rpm albums. So two speeds, may not be big thing for me.

Is there any experience with either of the Stamford Hercules 2 PS on Linns?
Was there sound improvement?
How was the installation?
Any unexpected issues or costs outside of unit purchase?

No connection to Stamford.

Thanks for reading.

The Hercules is a straight swap for the Valhalla - as I'm sure you know. The boards are easy to take out and replace, just be aware that there are some high voltages, let the Val discharge for a few hours at least.

I never had noise/cartridge issues with the Val. so I'd go for the cheaper option. TBH.

Thanks for info.
Did you notice a sound change with Hercules?

In my old deck, there was a subtle improvement moving the Valhalla into an external box. There was a much larger improvement with the Hercules. IMHO, getting the PS away from the motor is a good idea.
