I live in Sapulpa Oklahoma, near Tulsa, I’m almost 70, I’ve been interested in audio since I was a wee lad. I’m a member of the audiophile society of Tulsa ( on facebook) I’ve been collecting records all my life, I have a bunch of CDs also SACDs and I love music of all kinds. Right now I’m listening to classical on KWTU on my new sangean HD radio, to which I have recently connected to a FM antenna which I built myself and mounted in the attic. The signal strength meter is maxed out! From the radio to the preamp ( Chinese dobousound I think), it’s not bad I changed the tubes to telefunken and it got better! I’ve got a adcom amp 535 that’s not bad. But the pioneer M22 is the one that I like best! After the amp it’s Focal Electra series bookshelf speakers and subwoofer. In the shop right now is a Cary LSI80 integrated,that I love dearly.the rest of the system is esoteric sa10 player. Rega P8 with apheta3 cart and LFD phono pre, all wired with Kimber. I hope I haven’t written too much, anyway it’s great to be here, thanks for reading!

Nice speakers. I enjoyed a pair of Focal 1028Be in my system for six years. Are yours 1007Be or 1008Be?
Hi jayvis,the focals are 1007 with the regular ol tweeter, I think they sound good, but I am entertaining the idea of new speakers, I think I need more dynamics, more punch! I hope I know what I’m wanting, I guess we’ll see, your system must really sound good, is the grado a mm or Mc? Thanks for your input
