HH Scott S-12 speakers ? Good. bad. ?

I just pick up a pair of HH Scott S-12 speakers from GW ...

I haven't cracked them open yet, but I thought I would inquire if anybody has had them, and opinions... are they worth restoring...?

I haven't heard great things about Scott speakers...

I have a 299c that I thought I might try...

Any input?

Well... even without new caps in the crossovers ( I will still do that) these things are pretty ok... If I had to guess, id say their sensitivity is in the 93-96db range... and they sound decent... I love the look of them and I think I'll keep 'em.

Let us know what brand caps you use and the difference in sound as compared to the old ones. I'm going to start searchig for a pair of S-12 or S-11. Those 12's are classy looking.
