Not mine and not interested. Just thought others might be interested in seeing it.

Hopefully this little beauty will find a good home. IMHO some Hitachi gear is way underrated. If it was close enough to me the listing would be closed due to me buying it. Here is a pic of the back of the unit. Notice that it does have a selector for either MM or MC carts.

Still available, if I were closer this would be sitting in my living room. Nice looking piece.

I had one of those. Excellent amp. Lots of small signal transistors that can get noisy. But, all the boards are socketed in so working on it was a breeze! Notice the ladder resistor tone controls. Also having a MC stage for a circa '71 or so amp is pretty impressive.

I replaced all the small transistors and did a full re-cap and it was really good after that. The phono stage always impressed me with how smooth it was. Eventually moved on to bigger and better stuff, but still kind of miss it.

I've got one that needs work - noisy transistors for sure. I can tell it would sound great if restored though. It's probably next on my project list for my tech guru.

I have one... it sounds amazing. It seems like a lot more watts than the 55W indicated. It was the first high-end HiFi amp that Hitachi made. They weren't even equipped with MOSFETs yet. The knobs and buttons are of astonishing quality.

I also have one that has been through a no expense spared recap by a fellow AK member. It has astonishing bass. And it also has the nice side benefit of being totally gorgeous!
