Homebrew Klipschhorns

My wife asked me to help a friend of hers whose husband built what I believe are a pair of Klipschhorns. They are moving and don't plan to take the speakers. The speakers were built according to plans (which they still have), so I am assuming they are genuine Khorns, and the husband was a dentist, so I also assume that there wasn't any cost cutting and correct drivers and crossover were used.
I have not seen anything other than some phone pictures. The speakers are painted white(!) recessed into alcoves and only the front and the first couple of inches of the sides is visible so I can't see if the whole speaker is white. From what I can see, the grills are neatly done with beveled edges and appear to be that hard nylon filament cloth that was commonly used in the 50s/60s.
I assume I can find out more details which would affect the price somewhat, but how much cost penalty does homebrew (and white paint) take on the average factory built Khorn price?

Comparing apples to apples, I purchased a pair of McIntosh ML-1C speakers which were recessed into the wall of the house and the first 3" of speaker was protruding and painted white with latex paint which matched the walls. You are the first person I know who has had the exact issue with their speakers, lol!

One would need to sell at a large discount if they want to sell as-is. I didn't want that, so I stripped and re-stained the entire speaker. It came out very nice and I was able to sell the pair at a price closer to retail.

I had a pair of cosmetically poor Speaker Factory K Horn knock offs. Basically home build quality and I got $450 for the two of them.

Interesting to know or see how they recessed them. khorns, by design use the wall as an extension for bass. If you recess them I don’t see how that would work. Any pictures?

The pictures show a large speaker in an alcove with enough of the side vents visible that I'm pretty sure that the horn worked perfectly well, though obviously not as well as it would in a corner. But plenty of people use them in from the corner, though rarely away from the wall as I have seen them in two audio stores - few living rooms are large enough that something as big as a Khorn doesn't have to be shoved against the wall.
Apparently they have all Klipsch drivers - heard that much from the lady.
