NO! I dont miss the cold!!!!!!!

and..

We haven't had rain since hurricane DOLLY last summer!!!

send rain!!! My cactus need water!

Here's a great tip for keeping cool without air conditioning. Rinse some washcloths with cold water. Wring them out and roll them up. Put them in baggies and put them in the freezer. The next day - pull them out one by one and apply them to the face or neck. AHHHHHH!!!!

I use these when we go to outdoor theatre in the summer.

Hi 75!
I have to tell you that this works very well for my sinus headaches also. I suffer almost daily from this malady. When the headaches do not respond to Excedrin, I just go the frig where I keep a plastic bag with a frozen hand towel.

After placing it over my facial area for a period of time, the headache about 90% of the time subsides.

BTW, yea it does cool you off on a hot day.

Here's a tip for cheap air conditioning. Take a plastic pan, put some water and ice in it, place it at the bottom in front of your electric fan. Instant A.C!

99 to 103 here with 80 to 90% humidity, to stay cool? I just put the 17thou btu window unit in the bedroom that is 13 by 12 foot and set it to 68 degrees and injoy, it can cool the room to 55 if i let it.

I can hang till it hits about 80, but 85ish like yesterday & today is a bit too warm for me. :thumbsdn: Good thing I stocked up on fudgesicles recently.

Yeah Cliff, fudgesicles and the basement should be a good strategy. ....if your Wedgwood neighborhood actually still had any woods it might be a bit cooler :D

...come over here by the beach. I think the water never gets above, what 35' ? That tends to really drive down the humidity and moderate neighborhoods near the water, like Edmonds. :thmbsp:

Forecast says the high pressure off the coast is breaking up in about 48 hours. Rain and 68' by Monday...

Right now it's 21 degrees (Celcius)... absolutely perfect. But when it's hotter, what I do to stay cool is stay in the ****in house... even though we have no air conditioning, and my house has a talent of soaking up heat, and well into the evening it's still hotter than hell, and humid as **** in here.

I'm sitting here under a blanket in Ohio watching the NASCAR race. Unbelievably cool for July 4 (67F).

It's the upper 80s but a 45 minute drive and just over 1 hour of hiking put us into a snowy Cascade mountain lake for a picnic. Cool breeze off the snow and lake. The lab retreiver really cooled off in icy water. A great 4th of July hike with some family.

Watch out for that bear! Oh never mind, that's the dog. :D Looks like you'd cool off real well, just standing near the water. :smoke:

Iam sad for you all

Here in Western NY all we have had all Spring, and so called Summer, is rain and 65 - 70 days. Today the 4th of July didn't clear 70 all day, right now at 12:35am it is 51.
No Summer this year.

97 now (at 9pm) with a high today of 109. Humidity is low now so I've got the swamp cooler on after just turning the ac off. 500 watts on the swamp cooler and the whole house is cool.

It'll be in the 110's all this coming week. We swim 2-3 times a day and keep the air cond at a steady 80 degrees in the house with fans on in almost every room. Most of our floors are finished cement so that helps. We soak the satillo tile patio with water so the evaporation helps with the outdoor living area.
