Happy to be here. I've been on other forums in the last couple of years (VE, Hoff) but I find myself gravitating toward the DIY and value aspects of listening to vinyl. I'm tired of the "high end" price-is-no-option flavor one gets from some of the other forum locations.
I followed with great interest threads that grew here, about changing styli on the Clearaudio MM cartridges, options within the AT MM range, even made some of my own frankencarts, carving wood bodies and potting AT carts. I did the longhorn mods on a Grado blue most recently and have loved the results.
I'm going to follow the vintage, DIY and cart mod threads with great interest.
