Well it hit land around 12:30 am in Nova Scotia 3:00AM here on Prince Edward Island.Winds peaked in Nova Scotia at 165KPH,at about 110KPH here on the Island.

I awoke to no power,I had a thermos full of hot water,to shave with and prepared to go to work.EMO was warning everyone to stay home and as I was leaving the phone rang and it was Roxy letting me know that work was cancelled.

I drove into Charlottetown with coffee on my mind,one Tim's was open with a line-up a block long.I came home and BBq water for coffee.
Charlottetown looked like a war zone,giant oaks down,streets blocked off,some trees ripped out by the roots.
I live by the Hillsborough River so I carried water from the river to use to flush the toliet.

Halifax,Nova Scotia is devastated,some people won't have power until at least Thursday.

Certainly a scary nite for lots of people,hope there isn't another "Juan" this fall

Hello?! Where did this one come from? There was absolutely NO mention of an approaching storm on the media and then last night I happened to see newscasters standing in Halifax getting blasted on camera.

I had this horrible thought of Halifaxians getting soaked in their own raw sewage (Halifax dumps all of its sewage straight into their harbour untreated) and it wasn't pretty.

I hope you guys can get things back to normal before the really nasty winter weather closes in. Have you got a back-up power generator? You obviously have a working computer. Communications in time of crisis is a comfort! Take care!

Rob watch TV much???? They have been talking about that hurricane for the past week. Might wanna climb down offa the tower once in a while and see what's happening in the real world absent minded professor that you are :D
 
from what i hear hurricane juan left the indianapoli motor speedway kinda hot under the skin after his performence sunday.:whip:

Me and the woman are going to Bar Harbor this weekend for a romantic getaway glad we weren't planning on taking the CAT to Nova Scotia ;)
 
It would be summer again by the time you got there. What's the top speed of a CAT, maybe 3 MPH? :D

Thor you cheap bastard it's long distance for me too.:D I know they don't teach much Canadian geography in U.S. schools but Canada is the worlds largest country by area. Time to break out the Atlas big guy!!
