I picked up a set of Pioneer cs-922a Speakers at a thift store for 15 bucks. They need some work (refoam the 15" woofers, match the screws, a couple of other things). Now this is funny, someone tried to refoam the 15's with gray tape.:nono:

Another great picture for analog addict's collection of bad woofer saves. Good luck with your project.

Cool, I hope you can get the tape off without too much damage.I haven't seen a pair of those since a room mate in Germany(1982) had some pretty similar to those.I remember the corresponding volume lights.

I have the woofers refoamed and they play great, but now I have run into a problem. The caps on the crossover needs replacing on both speakers thats no problem. The issue is the tweeters one of the speakers are all blown(the other speaker all tweeters are fine). Any help will be great.
