I think SACD is here to stay...it sounds too great!

SACD is here to stay in my house. I got an Oppo DV-980H to see if I like them. I do, and DVD-A and HDCD (apparently I had a few hybrids of the latter and never knew it!) I just bought my 12th SACD and my 7th DVD-A . I like Rock, R&B, Blues, Folk, and some Jazz, although some of my favorites don't fit any of those categories. Slim pickings out there, though. I'm not going to buy the SACD of anything I already have in good condition on vinyl. Still, there are about half a dozen on my short list.

Can't find the physical discs here in Abu Dhabi but I can easily download DSD files over the internet and store them on my laptop and then on my Sony HAP-S1 hard drive player/amp.

That's OK with me since I really don't have a need for the physical medium and they just take up space and are a hassle to move.

There have been some very good SACD releases recently:

# 13 Sam Cooke - Portrait of a legend
I got it because I had to have his version of Summertime. I wasn't expecting much in terms of SQ, but then it was only $9 on Amazon.
I was actually pleasantly surprised. Some of the tracks are actually very well recorded. Thankfully, Summertime is one of them.
