I was on my way to breakfast this morning...

If'n I should have to replace the existing one what style will fit? And also, how does one safely remove the head shell from the tonearm.[/QUOTE

From my DUAL owners manual...

"This turntable will accept any cartridge weighing from 5.5 to 10g(including mounting hardware) and having standard 1/2" spaced mounting holes."

"To mount the cartridge, detach the cartridge holder from the tonearm by moving the tonearm lift back, while holding the cartridge holder with your hand to prevent its falling down when the lock is released."

Nice TT!

OK Holst. I'm rather clueless here so you need to help a bro out. What is MM? If'n I should have to replace the existing one what style will fit? And also, how does one safely remove the head shell from the tonearm. Unlike my Pioneer which easily unscrews I don't want to start yanking until I know for sure how to remove it for cartridge replacement. Thanks.

Just slide the lever that you would lift the tone arm with back whil holding the headshell in your fingers so it won't drop to the ground. It's a little strange the first time and also putting it back in but you can handle it.

Thanks for the info. I spun ELO on it with my headphones hooked up through a Pioneer SX 737 (no speakers) and it sounded pretty good with the MA cartridge. Everything seemed to work quite well. I will make some final adjustments to the tonearm and cartridge and hope to put it in use. Thanks to all with our input and advice.
