I'm hoping someone can help identify this speaker. My girlfriend bought a pair of these while stationed in Iceland. She can’t remember who made them but said that they sounded great. They were purchased around 1984/85 on base, and the Enlisted club had a similar pair. Apologies for the terrible photos, they are the only ones she could find. Thanks!

Perhaps from the Bang en Olufsen - BeoVox speaker line from that era. They had a grill design that sported a metal strip in the center. Made in Denmark.

Thank you rmeade, I think you're onto something that they might be B&O Beovox... I'll check this evening.

"I suppose you could have supplied worse pics."
Oh come on! Those are great compared with some of the pictures people have posted - a brown box with a dark grill, or worse, a dark rectangle in a somewhat less dark background. It's that kind of pictures that are challenging!

Looking at the grade of furniture pictured Id venture speakers are closer related to soundesign vs B&O

Soundesign? Maybe MCS...

She doesn't think they were B&O.
New info: each speaker has two cabinets, a lower bass unit and an upper cabinet for the highs. They had a ball and cup setup that aligned the upper cabinet to the lower, and the two cabinets had wire in the back to connect signal to the upper chamber.

Found some images of BES speakers that look very similar but as far as I can tell they are a one cabinet design.
