ikea kallax sturdy for lps?

Now all you have to worry about when your collection grows, "Are my floors strong enough.:p

Great point and one I took seriously enough to have an engineer look at my collection and gear and the weight they are putting on my floors. So far... I am good to go!

Dan - crazy great collection.

If you go bigger and are against a wall, I recommend using the included wall anchor brackets. Plus, for the larger ones, many people have added various strengthening mods. I have a couple 5x5s to which I added steel L-brackets to the corners on the back. Remember - a little paranoia goes a long way.

It works for me. I should get a few more of these 2x4s; I have quite a few more turntables. ;)

I have two sets of the 5x5 loaded to the gills and moved twice. trick is to use clear silicone
caulk on all the edges (front to back - all four inside edges). makes it rigid - your decision
whether to caulk loaded or empty.

otherwise, leaning on them is risky.
