I'm Matt.. Got myself into vintage audio.

Hello everyone.

I guess I should tell you a bit about myself.
I'm 20, go to TAFE and study IT Networking, work nights at K-Mart and work casually at a mechanics. WOO what a lifestyle.

Anyhoo, I bought myself a Pioneer SX-5000 as a 20th birthday present for myself mostly because I liked the look of it, (Was oblivious to the hype behind vintage audio) after listening to it I was astounded at the sound quality. Not even a month later I now have a second one on my desk (A Rambler SA-3000) and another one in the mail (An Onkyo Y-200D).

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on my Rambler SA-3000 though. I cant find any bit of information, not even on the brand name. I paid $20 for it and it sounds dang good. I got some pics for you, heres the links:

Welcome Matt! That Rambler receiver is a new one and must be rare, I couldn't find anything on it. Looks like a nice cabinet, good quality component, probably from the 60's or 70's from the looks of it.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

The lady I bought it off said she purchased it in 1973, so I know that much. Is it possible that its a re-branded amp? I live in Australia, sometimes you find re-branded electronics, just a stab in the dark. I was surprised that it had so many sliders, I thought the early stuff mostly used knobs. If anybody knows anything of this brand let me know. Thanks again!
