Impedance matching?
I'm modding some old Optimus 4 speakers and replacing the two, 16 ohm tweeters, in each cabinet with two EPI inverted dome tweeters. I measure that the EPI tweeters are 6 ohm (am I correct?).
Here's my question:
The two original tweeters were parallel wired to the x-over so there "seen" impedance was 8 ohm which matched the impedance of the existing woofer. Here is a diagram of how the tweeters were wired originally:
What do i need to do to match the two EPI tweeters impedance (6 ohm each tweeter) to the impedance of the existing woofer (8 ohm)?
