IPod Cables

Santa was cool and gave me an IPod Nano 4th Generation. I wanted it because of the convenience, as for critical music listening I have a tube amp, tube CD Player, and a TT. And for HT, I have a 50" Plasma, Marantz receiver, Panasonic BluRay with analogue outputs, and HD Cable.

To connect my IPod to the tube amp, or to the HT system I need a set of cables with 3.5mm on one end, and Yellow (Composite Video), Red (Right Audio Channel), and White (Left Audio Channel) on the other end. Obviously, I can go to any big box store and find them, but I want good quality cables.

I recently bought some Zebra Cables interconnects for my music system, and sent them an e-mail asking if they could do the IPod cable, but as of today no response. Any recommendations?

I know for that the Touch and Classic requires a special cable to get video out of it. The connector actually incorporates a chip. May be likewise for nanos. A word to the wise is to check out ilounge.com for aftermarket alternatives to OEM accessories before you buy.

I use a typical cable made specifically for that type of use; a 3.5 mm on one end and the other end has RCA's to connect to the input of the amp. A quality cable can be had, but IMHO, coming from an Ipod/mp3 player, the quality of the typical cable and the source is probably a pretty good match. They aren't very expensive, so try one and see if it's what you're looking for.:thmbsp:

Right...Found what I was looking for. Is made by Audioquest is the AV-A, better quality than the ones you find at the Big Box stores, for the same amount of money or less. 3 FT. is $30.00.

Thanks for the input!
