Is anyone here a member of Lansing Heritage forum?

FWIW,

The success of a web-site can be measured by meaningful posts and threads.

Non-members ( over at LHF ) are allowed to view and navigate and search all the same resources as full members ( excepting the "For-Sale" forums > where it seems nothing ever sells to the membership ).

:)

Good luck measuring "meaningful" posts on the Internet or its forums.
Never say never:
I have several speakers purchased or gifted through LH, including my 4345 "clones" which have their own (quite long) sale thread from one member to another. My first L5s came from an LH member. HJames herself Pony Expressed a pair of L20Ts to me. My fake L-series center channel speaker came from an LH member. I have two Crown crossovers that came from an LH member's ad there. My Crown Studio Reference-II came to me from an LH member through a For Sale ad I had posted. And that's just me!!!
:beerchug:

They still haven't sent me an email to verify my email........so I can't post or do much more than read. I can log in though.

I sent them an email, so hoping they can fix this.

My email to them bounced. Logged in last night just to read, and it showed every forum as empty.
Logged out, and can see and read all the posts. Odd.

Read the posts about the bot overrun. So bummer.

My guess is when the site was last moved, a lot of the scripted features like image uploads, emails and such, broke.
Its going to take some server admins to walk through those kind of issues and enable the back end cgi capabilities again.
Just a guess, since I have no server side access to check any of that.

The Lansing staffers aren't here to defend themselves and its not appropriate to toss dirt from here.
A number of folks who were handling things have had horrific health issues, and frankly,
I'm sure that them getting healthy again had more priority than chatty web sites ...

I’ve been trying to join, as well. I finally was able to a couple of days ago, but now when I login I cannot read any of the content. Once I logout I can see it all again. Hope the admins heal up! That’s far more important than my tweaker needs.

Good shout Earl. I'm in with you .

Don't be shy kids , Let me know what you need info or tech questions.

BTW most tech info is there , just knowing how to find it is another thing.
LH is a huge resource. High five to the heros who keep it going..

I’m not seeing any dirt tossing here. Just folks who would like to join the conversation over there.

Thanks Earl. I’m good. Appreciate the offer!

Oh, the dirt tossing post was deleted ... it didn't seem to add anything positive to the conversation.

An announcement on the Lansing Heritage site.
"The Lansing Heritage Forum is joining the Audiokarma family. Not to fear, we are not looking to make a lot of changes. We will be moving the site to a better server and are working to fix issues both within the forums and on the server side. These changes will help preserve and protect the incredible knowledge contained in these pages. Don is still around, as we strive to continue what he started and what the members have help build."

That fits into place with the new server being built for AudioKarma, announced above.

Audiokarma is about to undergo a server change and upgrade. While this should help improve your AK experience, there may be a slight interruption of service during the actual software transfer. We will let you know before it is started. As you would expect, this doesn’t come cheap and while there is no obligation to donate, we would greatly appreciate anything you might send to help to sales@audiokarma.org at PayPal.com. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Awesome news! I joined Lansing Heritage in February 2004, but haven’t been an active participant on there in recent years.
