Is there a 2018 Sony TV Sale?

Hi. I am going to buy a 2018 Sony 65" tv.
Do the new models, 2019, get released soon?
Will there be a sale of the 2018 models?
I don't watch tv myself. This will be a gift for my daughter and her family.
I have Sony points, thankfully, from my credit card.

MY Sony dealer is having a sale as is Amazon and other dealers. Magnolia possibly. If you want OLED I would get LG. But if you want dolby noise reduction I guess Sony is your best choice. $$$$$$$$

I have noticed that some of the best deals come right around Black Friday--a few models I've followed have never been quite as low as that time of year. I noticed in one of our local stores, which was right around the time of the Stupid Bowl, they had closeout pricing on the 2017 model LGs that they carried, which was as low as, or lower than, Black Friday pricing. It's a small window of opportunity to catch the closeouts.
