Is there a blu-ray player that records DVD-R?

Wife wants to move up to blu-ray now that the MGM musicals have been released. But she also wants to continue recording LOTS of DVD's. Is there an option other than the new blu-ray recorders?

From your post,it sounds like you already have a DVD recorder.Why not spring for an inexpensive BD player to augment what you have.

This is for my wife's use in the home theater system. Point and click is what is needed.

I didn't want to add a player to my stack either and was very disappointed that the $1000 Sony BDP-S1 doesn't play CD.
