I hope to put together a fun little 'resto' thread on all my updates/restoration bits as they happen with my vintage Onkyo...but for now I thought this one was simple & neat.
The old "lamp cord" power plug always seemed unsafe and less than ideal. I especially can't stand moving the receiver around for various things and having to bundle the cord up. Took the time today to cut the old cord, widen the opening and install a new solid pin C8 connector for removable cords.
My $9800 000-gauge wizard blessed power cable will be here any day (just kidding)... it's nice to have a 'normal' power plug setup now. Happy Thursday all
