Well after months of buying this and selling that,I finally snagged something worth mentioning and I picked it up for a song.
I spotted an ad on Toronto's Craigslist(it's still there)that simply said"sansui radio, speakers and cassette deck"
There was one dark pic showing the corner of a 9900z and no mention of it in the description.
So 3 dys ago I sent an email offering $100 for just the"radio",I never thought I'd get a responce...but check it out! Works perfectly, all 160 WPC!
It was your classic old dude story who's had it stored for years and just wanted to get rid of it.
What I can't beleive is this guy should have had a line-up at his door, the city's full of dealers and audiophiles.
So..my gift from the stereo gods, finally!

Oh yeah I can live with one of those!I had a 8900zdb(120wpc) and a 7900 z(100wpc).Excellent sounding receivers but did not care for the motorized volume controls.Wouldn't mind having either one back.

My BIL gave me on of those and it is in my garage but I've never turned it on. Seems solid enough (heavy). Interesting cooling system.

You should connect it to some decent speakers. You may be pleasantly surprised.:music:

Yeah I have a pair of L1290s out there also. Guess I should make them both active and work to deserve their space!
