Jana headphones

I've found a pair of vintage headphones relatively locally that are Jana BJ-2005.
They are made in Japan, here's a pic of them

Does anybody know anything about the brand and these headphones?

For the price, they look like they'd be pretty good.

Please help asap.

They look like a lot of Japanese 'phones I saw in the early 70's. All had cheap paper cone drivers in them and I don't remember any sounding good. If it were me, I'd pass and look for better.

Now that I think about it, I had seen, a while ago, an amplifier made by Jana in a thrift store - didn't think much of that at the time.
As a comparison though, how would a similar age and style pair of Sansui or Sony headphones sound to a non-japanese similar pair? Do the Japanese headphones suffer from the so-called Kabuki sound like Japanese speakers, or is it they just don't sound any good - not necessarily kabuki sound?

IMO, they were just an afterthought product. The little paper speakers in them were the same mess you'd see in little Sally's 6 transistor pocket radio. Even the so-called upscale ones by Pioneer and others still sounded boxy and muffled. None could compare to the better Koss, AKG, Grado or Sennheiser offering of the day and even all of those have improved over the years. I just don't see the point in torturing my ears with something that sounds bad just because its *vintage*.
