This may sound like a foolish question, but what are the differences between the JBL 4311 and the 4312? I know the 4311 was produced perhaps a decade or more earlier, and was based on the L100 studio monitor, but little else beyond the very obvious: 12" woofer, three-way ported box, and so on. How are the two speakers physically and audibly different?
I'm no expert on the various strains of vintage JBL (or anything else, really), and I'm not asking for myself, but for someone else who obviously has more money. Any help is appreciated.
