Jetpack Flight across Royal Gourge

I miss the old bridge. The new one just does not have the sway that the old one had.

If you ever go to the gorge take the gondola over from the gift shop and do the walk back.:thmbsp:

That was too cool!! And yes I agree jerrymrc the old bridge was great. I grew up in Littleton and we would always take the flatlanders down there and go across and watch them freak out. Beautiful place.

That was great! I remember going on a family vacation as a kid (probably about 10) and the Royal Gorge was one of the stops. Pretty freaky walking out on the bridge. I remember getting yelled at for dropping small rocks from the bridge. I switched to spit. At the gift shop I bought a knife and sheath with a deer hoof for the handle and a pair of those HUGE sunglasses. I had to throw the knife away a couple of months later because of decomposition and bugs.

I don't think I would do the flying over the canyon bit without some Depends and a box of WetOnes.

Those Jet packs have been around since the 60's they run as said about a 20-25 second flight they have flown around various football games Disney land etc. All he did was fly in a straight line over a space that just happen to have the Gorge in it. If he fell from 200 feet over a football field he would have been just as dead as into the Gorge.,

OLD TECH vintage jet pack!

Ya know, I saw a guy fly a jet pack at the world's fair in '64. Back then we were told we'd all have our jet packs by 2000. Where the hell is mine?
