Very nice, I like the looks of Parasound gear. And the sound, I have a php-850 which is one of my better sounding separates. Did your DAC come stock? I've heard of some people upgrading them.

Yes, stock. I will likely leave it for now. It sounds good and has a very good chip inside from what I understand. I may add another amp so I can biamp my Magnepans.

I am really liking this DAC, very solid and tight low end, clear and detailed top end, great deep sound stage and seperation. It does use the "famous" UltraAnalog DAC 20400A Dual 20 Bit Digital to Analog Converter and PMD-100 High Definition Compatible Digital Process Decoder digital filter. So far I enjoy it more than the previous DAC's I've had, such as the PS audio DLIII and Bifrost. Of course YMMV. :)

Vincei - BTW, that is an incredible pic. Did you take that yourself? I have similar gear.... D/AC-1000 > P/LD-2000 > H/CA-1500

Nice pic...is the amp vented on the top? Just wondering why you have the biggest and heaviest item on top?

Yes, I took the photo. The amp is on top for venting. The other components are very solid and can handle the weight. In fact that preamp weighs quite a bit considering how simple the unit is. Inside is packed with stuff!

Nice.

What does it use for an output stage? Op-amps or discrete?

I am not sure. It does have 2 OP275 opamps, but I don't know if it's used for the balanced outs or not. I wish I had a schematic to verify....in any event, it continues to impress.

Ah, that DAC is crap, you might want to get rid of it quickly. I know some dufus that wants to take it off your hands!

Seriously now... congrats. Thanks for the pics. Awesome o_O

PS: I liked those Klipsch speakers too (Flicker). Of course, not like the Magneplanars, but those are in a different class...
