Last year I found a pair of jbl apollo c51's for $20 well today I got a pair of Yamaha FX-1's for $2k has some scuffs and one has a chip on the back but the sound was so good I really could care less. I have it running off a XIANGSHENG 728A pre amp now I have to roll my tubes again to find a good match vs the apollo's and to power them is a HK citation 22 this is by far the piano I have heard from speakers. They straight up dwarf the apollo's

I couldn't find a lot of info on them but I let my ears do the talking, he had just reformed the 15" driver and had yet to list them on craigslist. the moment i heard them I immediately got bummed cause i knew they were going to cost more then I could afford, then he said he was thinking of $2k at which point I went to the bank cause theirs no way I could say no. so far I am extremely happy with them.

Awesome find, never seen them glad I saw them now, checked out on Google and there is a successing FX-3 to hunt for as well. The FX-3 is similar to the NS-1000M but with much more bass capacity.

I'm very happy with my lowly NS-300:s, imho they punch way above their price/market positioning.

I actually was planning on checking out something else that he had listed on craigslist but he had a large collection of speakers and parts so I wanted to check that out also. I have 2 12's that pick up the real low stuff paired with these I'm still amazed. I bought some rode mics to hopefully put some video's up of how they sound. I've been listing to music since I got home,10hrs ago...
