..both for $100 total.
The 2000s are definitely going to be restored, sound good, grills are 9.5/10, low and mid surrounds are stiff, researching ways to loosen them up. They’re getting recapped and cabs refinished. They’re going to very nice.
The 7500xs are more than likely a lost cause. Complete basketcase. All 4 tweeters and both horns are blown, either infinite ohms or 0 ohms, some with torn cones. Looking at $150 to $200 to replace with OE. Need one high frequency knob @ $30-50. No idea what to do about the cabs, or how long it could take; looks to be a beige melamine under the faux wood grain sticker. About half of the wood grain plastic sticker is gone. The mids, woofers, and grills are in great shape.
I’m leaning towards parting out the few good pieces left of the 7500s. Not sure it’s worth trying to rebuild these, unless there’s something someone knows that would make a rebuild worthwhile… thought about trying to source modern drivers with appropriate/approximate specs.
