just took my dog to the vet:(

That's great steelcity. I've been following this thread daily. Hope it all goes well for you and your beloved pooch. I lost a good buddy of mine way too early some years back. Take care.

I feel relieved too !! Been following and praying . That's great news !
I got my Bo when he was weeks old . I took him to the vet two days after I got him for his first checkup and the vet (she calls him an Alsatian and not German Shepherd) advised me to put him on a raw diet . He's been getting a combination of raw beef and chicken with rice and carrots that I make myself . She told me that the dry food you get at the store was "full of stuff you don't want in your dog" . I know this may not help you much with your dog . But there has been posts regarding food recalls and such . I thought I would throw it out that you can feed your dog raw food .
Rudy .

I don't know about our canine buddys but Prednisone made my daughter swell up and gain weight. I can't take it...gives me the hiccups!! A most unusual reaction but that's what it does.

Lasix is what will really make one pee!! It's a strong diuretic. At least he can still do this.

Hang in there hi*ball. My thoughts and prayers and fingers crossed.
Good news for you steelcity. Let's hope things keep going well. I know that if I got a NY Strip once a mo. I would be a happy dog.

Max hopes Bruno will continue to improve!

I have been trying to spend as much time as i can with him.

He's eating like a horse but one side effect of the prednisone is he drinks\pees ALOT!! So..i haven't been getting much sleep. I give him ice chips at night and cut the prednisone down to 20mg a day.
