Hello. I am shipping my Rekukut to Europe so I can use it there.
I hope you have a step-down transformer.

It is more complicated than mains voltage in Europe. It has an Ashland motor so the frequency also matters. Robert.
Hello. I am shipping my Rekukut to Europe so I can use it there. I did some cleaning and maintenace. Here is a picture of main bearing shaft after 4-5 years of using a caramic ball. How old is my turntable if one check a serial number? Robert.View attachment 1258004 View attachment 1258005
I've heard a ceramic ball can cause wear, but it seems to me that if the oil is doing its job it shouldn't make a difference what the material of the ball is?I would guess circa 1956. Was the divot in the bearing present before you used the ceramic ball bearing?
Hello. I am not moving out. I spend in Poland coming in and out about 2_3 months a year. I have a Micro Seiki bl_51 and Kenwood pc350 over there to keep me spinning. It is a great place now being close to Berlin, Prague and other cities. I mostly listen to classical music so it is easy to find used german or russian records and polish too. Robert.
The demage is due to ceramic ball. It was pristine after thirty years of usewith metal one.
Hi @beatcomber the 2 Rek O Kut TT'S that I sent you had all the parts. Was it steel or Ceramic bearings in both?
I'll bring the bearings to a bike shop and see if they'll caliper them for me.
Were you able to size the Papst bearings at the bike shop?
McMaster-Carr is your friend
Yeah, McMaster sells in 100 or so lots. I've had to do that in the past when I needed a couple of something, just because nobody sold them in smaller packages. I think I have 98 leftovers for Garrard record changers.
