"The price is $200 million, which after taxes and paying all the lawyers involved, and maintaining Bieber’s lifestyle, is not a lot."

"The 28 year old pop star becomes the youngest of all music performers to sell the entire rights to his songs."
Anytime he needs more money he can always tour. I don’t think he has a problem selling out arena size shows so there has to be a huge cash flow for him

I believe he's trying to turn his life around.

"Luckily God blessed me with extraordinary people who love me for me," Beiber said, adding that the "best season" of his life, marriage, is teaching him "patience, trust, commitment, kindness, humility, and all of the things it looks like to be a good man."

I think the kind of music he recorded will probably not age very well, so it may be a wise move to sell it while it's still relevant to a large number of people.

Now that I've said that, his catalogue will the first ever to hit 1 trillion dollars or some crazy thing...

It make me laugh some peoples responses, Bieber is a generational talent and star. Just because you do not like his work does not make the statement true. I am not a fan, could not name a single song, but that is not the point.

Bieber is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 150 million records worldwide. He is credited with three Diamond certifications from the RIAA for "Baby", "Sorry" and "Despacito". He has received numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award, eight Juno Awards, two Brit Awards, one Bambi Award, 26 Billboard Music Awards, 18 American Music Awards, 22 MTV Europe Music Awards (the most wins for any artist), 23 Teen Choice Awards (the most wins for a male individual), and 33 Guinness World Records. Time named Bieber one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2011, and he was included on Forbes' list of the top ten most powerful celebrities in 2011, 2012, and 2013.[17]

Have everyone already watched a video about a singer who went away from his singing career (which he described more as a "traveling salesman" endeavor)?
