KEF C45 Tweeter Noise

I have a pair of KEF C45 speakers which are in great condition and sound excellent. However, one of them has static emanating from the tweeter at higher volume. Thinking it might be partially blown, I replaced the tweeter with another one and have the same issue. Could the problem be with the crossover instead? Please help.

Have you swapped the speakers to the other channel of the amplifier to eliminate that as the issue?

Tweeters usually die fairly quickly, rather than gradually.

I woudl first look at all all your internal speaker connections and ensure they are all tight and good - from the speaker terminals through to the tweeter path in the xover, and then out to the actual tweeter. Ensure also that the tweeter connecting spades arent both making contact on the metal body of the tweeter itself.

Turns out, it was a loose connection to the crossover. Working like a champ now, and I have a spare pair of tweeters just in case. Thanks for your help!
