Kenwood KA 5700 problem

I have a Kenwood KA 5700 integrated amp that functions normally when phono or tuner is selected but only the left channel works when Aux. (CD player) is selected. No sound and no movement of the power meter. I lightly sprayed deoxit in the switch holes and worked the switch and still nothing. Any ideas?
P.S. Kenwood IS one of the most under-rated vintage names out there!!!

Try the CD into one of the Tape inputs to verify that your CD and interconnect cable is OK.If they are , you will need to open up your Kenny and thoroughly clean the function select switch with Deox-it.

Thanks. I just measured the DC offset and it was 25 ma on the "good channel" and 38 ma on the "bad" one. Does the fact that there is indeed an output on the bad channel point to the selector switch. And also, is there a way to adjust the dc offset on this unit?

If it works for phono and tuner.DC offset is not your problem...90% sure you have a oxidized/dirty switch...Did you check your CDP ? 25mv and 38 mv is not that far out.Ideally you want 0.0mv anything under 20mv is peachy..You can deal with that issue after getting your switching issue put to bed...

The 5700 has a totally passive preamp section, so it's a dirty switch, bad cable, or busted wire.

I feel like a dork! It was just a dirty/bad input cable connection. Just how many times does a guy have to learn to check the obvious/simple things first!!!???!!!:D
