Kenwood KA-9100 Voltage Conversion

I recently moved from North America to Asia and would like to convert my Kenwood KA-9100 amplifier from 115V to 230V. My amp is the "k type", and from what I gather on the back it has a switching power supply. Does that make my model suitable for conversion?

I do have a service manual, but I find it difficult to follow, especially the parts list which covers about a dozen different variants of the KA 9100.

Anyone know what to do?

IF the unit is a USA 'K' type, there are no provisions for wiring for 230V operation and your only option is a step-down transformer to supply the proper 120V to the amp.

The models of the 9100 that are multivoltage capable have the switches on the back panel, usually with a plastic keeper to prevent accidentally moving them to an incorrect voltage.
